Ania Kanicka is a Polish designer willing to turn your home into a fluffier place with her polar bear armchair.
The furniture is inspired by one of the most powerful animals on our globe, a combination of strength and cuteness which makes us return to the world of carefree childhood dreams. Just jump on it and swing…. Feel free to be a kid again. Pull the tail and the lights in his eyes will start to shine. Designed for giving fun and happiness.
The Polish designer Ania Kanicka has many friends. Friends from Fell. Coming from childhood, she brings her into the world of adults.
The plush Polar Bear Chair, for example, waits with some refined details: Pushing the paw, shining his eyes. It has an extra fur that can be used as a blanket. You can sit on him, of course.
In the interior of the plush-related installation there are membranes, which make breathing movements and noises when touched. The illusion of a living organism is wrapped in the cuddly envelope of a playmate from children’s days. As often as I wanted to be a child, I imagined that Teddy would really live. I am thrilled with the objects of Ania Kanicka.
The interdisciplinary designer was born in 1986. She studied, among other things. At the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
When you pull the oversized stuffed animal on the tail, his eyes begin to shine. Asked about the motives for this plush object, the designer explains: “For me it is about the fact that we should behave more like children. We are as adults no longer behave as we were as children. I would really like to make people happier when they think back to their childhood a few moments back. “
