Apple has always distinguished itself with beautiful design, years in the top-secret making, the Apple Watch is a rectangular gadget with rounded corners and a smooth sapphire crystal face, is the brand first incursion directly into the fashion world.Despite the fact that the device hasn’t been released, the Apple Watch is everywhere. The accessory was first unveiled at Colette in Paris and then it made its editorial debut on the cover of Vogue China, worn by Liu Wen.
“Chinese people are actually very digitally minded and we embrace new technology and digital products more easily than perhaps people elsewhere,” said Angelica Cheung, Vogue China’s editor-in-chief. “All these convince us that the intersection of fashion and technology is a natural progression, not something alien.”
The choice to work with Vogue China reflects Apple awareness of the growing purchasing power of female luxury consumers in China.
Apple wants to be the next big game changer in the wearable tech market. The watch comes in two sizes and in choices of three materials, including 18K gold. There are six straps, which include metal bracelets and soft leather.
“The Digital Crown” as Apple calls it, presents a huge properties and possibilities, apersonalized object of beauty. The bottom is built-in with four lenses, which monitor bodily functions, health- and fitness-tracking programs. You can set the watch to display exactly where you are on the globe, to make card payments, open emails, and bump into fellow Apple Watch users. But precise functions will be revealed when the Apple Watch comes to stores early next year.
The Apple Watch goes on sale in “early 2015,” after the holiday season in the US and Europe the price for a basic model has been announced as $349.
