He creates such artworks using straw marquetry, gypse, mica, vellum, shagreen, precious wood veneers and fine metal work. Jallu Ebénistes are the only furniture making workshop in Europe that has mastered ALL of the finishes that were developed in France during the Art Deco period. Using a mixture of French tradition and modern technology they can incorporate these materials and techniques into contemporary or classic design project you may be working on.

Yann JALLU has been working with esteemed Architects and Interior Designers on their luxury bespoke projects on both sides of the Atlantic for more than 15 years. Recently Yann was honored with an EPV Label (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) by the French Government in recognition of the excellence of his work, innovations with materials and contributions to the history of furniture making in France. Yann and Sandra JALLU moved to France to open their workshop in 2006 after working together for many years in New York City.
90% of the work are custom orders. “We make pieces to show at fairs such as Revelations in Paris and the Monaco Yacht Show and this way we give clients examples of our skills. Most often clients like the work but would like something bigger, another color, made to fit a specific wall, etc. We adapt our designs to the needs of the clients.”
