The first collection of artistic photography and texts by Giuseppe Palmisano, known in art as Iosonopipo dates back a few years ago, thanks to a huge consensus expressed in the network.
Giuseppe is an Italian photographer born in Bologna, Italy. He is an actor and a photographer and sometimes a writer. Currently he lives in Bologna and directs a concerts agency. In 2015 he published his first book, oltrepensare.
“In February 2014 I asked, online, who would buy a book with pictures and phrases that some years ago I was posting on my Facebook page. The response was such that in January 2015 they released my first book, Oltrepensare” so says Palmisano.
On the occasion of his 27th birthday, Oltrepensare 36×27 turns into photographic exhibition in the spaces of Santeria Social Club of Milan. The Apulian artist presents a selection of 36 photographs, taken from the book.
Seize the moment and find the beauty in the everyday, these are the fundamental themes of the purest shots Palmisano. We find bodies of teenagers faceless, lampshades, curtains and various household objects that open a surreal dialogue, in which each observer can ‘invent a story.
“I deeply believe in the independence and the possibility of an artistic research is supported, instead of the art system, by the same recipients, by all those transposing it, they make it their own, the risemantizzano, to reactivate and in turn the return. For me, art is always a way to empathize with the world, with sensitivity other than my own, and it is always popular. ” This motivates and feeds the work Palmisano realises.
