Iván Castiblanco was born in Bogota , Colombia in 1986 where he currently lives and works. In 2012 he got the Master of fine arts and visual art High School / Academy of Arts of Bogotá ( ASAB ) of the University Francisco. Today we share some of his contemporary art.
Teacher, photographer, poet and researcher. He is a graphic designer at the National University of Colombia and Masters in Education of the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Sciences FLACSO-Argentina.
As a teacher he has worked in the areas of graphic design and photography at the National University of Colombia, Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, the Polytechnic Grancolombiano, and the School of Motivate Photography. It is superior academic coordinator of “pedagogies of differences” FLACSO-Argentina diploma.
He is founder and editorial director of the Collective octoate. He has exhibited in Fotosemana 2004 (Bogota); The Art Mission & Gallery (Binghamton, NY); Simik Photography Museum (Buenos Aires); Cultural Nave of the Government of the City of Mendoza (Argentina); Central gallery Newbery (Buenos Aires); and Image Festival FOTO 13 (Tlaxcala, Mexico). He was selected for viewing portfolios Transatlantic PHOTOESPAÑA 2010 in Cartagena.
His research experience is inscribed in the areas of “Education and Diversity” and the development of projects of participatory photography, among which stand out “effect Affection and look at my Look” and “Back to See” currently involved in the project ” Look look!” (House of Culture Street, Buenos Aires).
As a poet he has participated in anthologies “Maybe I should talk only Fire Fire” (The Butterfly and the Iguana, 2012) and “And not illuminate corners” (The Butterfly and the Iguana, 2015). His first poetry book “Nilengua” was published in 2015 (Ediciones 27 Pulqui).
