Paul Fuentes is a Mexican artist that quit his job to dedicate himself 100% to the cheerful images he creates with his digital art skills.
His philosophy is to make people happy. “With a sushi-cat or a juicy hamburger, it’s my goal to break your boring Instagram feed and to get a smile on your face. I like to remind people how fascinating the world is by producing images of food, animals, and objects. These images are minimalistic mash-ups with pastel backgrounds.”
It was after a trip to Europe that totally inspired him, that he went to Mexico full of new ideas and started sketching and collecting pictures.
He says: “Also, I noticed the trend in food photography on Instagram. I took the lock of my account and started sharing my personal work, just to get some feedback perhaps. Suddenly, my account was booming! I got interviews requests, people wanted to use my designs for advertising, and my followers kept on growing. I really didn’t expect this, but now I knew: this was my calling, creating images of common food, objects and animals in a new and twisted way.”
That’s the key to success, do what you love and share it with the world. You can get less bored today with @paulfuentes_design.
His work is a fun mixture of pop art and surrealism in vibrant colours. You can buy his bright works in several online stores like Society 6 for instance. The artist already launched his line of home accessories and products inspired in his artworks.
