The “Shrink Collection” is the most recent work from the multidisciplinary design studio Daast. It is a collection which comprises a chair, a rocker, a mirror and a cabinet which all combine the use of American oak wood, aluminum and most interestingly, rubberized heat shrink plastic.
One of the most original materials used is in fact the shrink plastic, which is most commonly used to join electrical wires. In this case it is applied over the metal legs to create a solid, circular appearance from afar, yet a grainy textured, four-sided shape when viewed up close.
Take a look at some of the most original furniture creations you will see in the near future and share it on social networks!
