Have you ever been curious about the designers’ creative process? Have you ever wished to dive into their minds and find out – step by step – how they produce such amazing pieces? That is now possible, thanks to an initiative of The Wrong Shop, which consisted of unearthing the hand-made sketches of three top-class designers, including the Bouroullec brothers, Ronan and Erwan.
This French design team has won several prizes over the last fifteen years, among which the Grand Prix du Design (in Paris, 1998) and the Designer of the Year award for Now! Maison & Objet (also in Paris, in 2011). So, it is not to wonder why their work was chosen to be a part of The Wrong Shop Editions, since their purpose was to bring to public knowledge successful and well-thought designing processes.
This collaboration has absolutely no precedent and has already resulted in a number of exhibitions throughout Europe: at the Vitra Design Museum, in Germany, at the Centre Pompidou Metz, in France, and finally at the London Design Festival, under the responsibility of twentytwentyone.
These sketches now form a printed limited-edition that one can purchase. Available both framed and unframed, each piece contains the signature of the two designers and is a true work of art for those interested in getting to know how a creative mind turns imagination into reality.
