I love The AquaDom. This fantastic touristic mark can be found in Berlin, Germany, it’s a 25 metre tall cylindrical acrylic glass aquarium with built-in transparent elevator. It is located at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin-Mitte. The DomAquarée complex also contains a hotel, offices, a restaurant, and the aquarium Sea Life Centre.
The AquaDom was opened in 2004. It cost about 12.8 million euros. The overall construction of the aquarium was designed and built by International Concept Management, Inc.. The acrylic cylinder was constructed by the U.S. company Reynolds Polymer Technology. It is now the main attraction of the Berlin Sea Life Centre.
The Radisson Blu Hotel In Berlin, Germany may look like just another luxury hotel, however once you enter it, you will be blown away by the enormous aquarium in the heart of the hotel’s lobby atrium.
The AquaDom is the world’s largest cylindrical aquarium with one million liters of saltwater, and it is a stunning habitat for many species of tropical fish. The AquaDom is maintained by the Sea Life Berlin, which is located right next to the hotel.
Unfortunately, the guests can’t go for a dive in the Aquadom. However, you can enjoy from a fantastic view from your room having an oceanic view from one side and the at the other the city of Berlin. You can also take the two-story elevator ride through the middle of the AquaDom, during which you’ll learn about both the tropical fish inhabitants and the architecture of the AquaDom.
All I can tell you is that looks like the perfect Hotel to enjoy the end of the days during the Berlin Design Week. Will you be there?
