The PangeaSeed Foundation, in partnership with Nueve Arte Urbano, presented the latest edition of Sea Walls “Water Is One” – an initiative aimed to generate awareness and create dialogue exploring creative solutions surrounding the region’s fresh water environmental issues.
14 modern art artists worked to create 14 large-scale art installations public art murals, exploring the aquatic history of the state and highlighting the problems affecting Queretaro’s fresh water resources as well as solutions.
Some of the topics were addressed by the contemporary artists are global warming, plastic pollution, regional social and cultural relationships, resource consumption and management, loss of biodiversity, history and mythology related to water resources in the area.

Featuring the work of 14 international, national and regional artists, this three week public abstract art project took place at the Educational and Cultural Center of the State of Querétaro “Manuel Gómez Morín”.
“Public art and activism can educate and inspire the global community to help save our water resources. Regardless of your location – large metropolitan city or small seaside village – all drains lead to the ocean and the ocean supplies us with every second breath we take. Earth cannot exist without healthy oceans and water resources,” said Tre’ Packard, founder and executive director of PangeaSeed Foundation.
