Do you need something totally different to discover? Check out this new concept of carpet designed by Federico Uribe.
Fabric carpets will no longer be your first idea coming up to your mind. This new carpet is made of pieces from old computers, like motherboards, cables, keyboard keys, phone connectors, CDs and a detail with a Dell mouse. It is also used other electronic components.
It seems not a very comfortable carpet to walk on, but it’s definitely an art work. Anyway, Tapete – the name of this piece- is not a piece to use in your home decoration.
With millions of computer parts, the designer were able to create this very attractive pattern that seen by far looks just like a regular carpet, noticing the detailed work that this piece demands.
Federico is a Columbian artist that uses to do works with unusual materials just like in the Tapete case, so he uses objects of daily life to create each sculpture like gardening tools for example. He takes everyday objects and turn them into art.
This is an example of a really creative imagination where anything is possible to do with the most uninteresting material.
