In Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, center of the country’s culture and history, another hotel of the dreams is born. Cosmopolitan, contemporary and charismatic, “Mercy Hotel” was born in a prestigious location, between Chiado and Bairro Alto. “Mercy” came as a very appropriate name for the lucky ones who enjoy this exquisite little refinement. The five-star boutique hotel stands not for his greatness in architectural terms but by the distinct quality of service and modern design.
The architect Miguel Saraiva decided to bet on a smaller (7 floors and 47 rooms) but totally unique and incomparable project. Among six floors several rooms suitable for all tastes and requirements are distributed.
Up to the fourth floor, guests can enjoy themed rooms and feel the spirit of the famous Portuguese writers, an interesting way to truly feel Lisbon.
On the 5th floor are the Prestige rooms, overlooking the Bairro Alto and Cristo Rei. On the 6th floor there are only two suites: the Moon River and the Stars on the Sky, both luminous, with wide views and a small terrace.
But the real highlight of the hotel is the 7th floor that has a huge terrace overlooking the city of Lisbon. Here we can feel ourselves as an eagle and see Lisbon and all its particularities.
To achieve a complete sensory experience, Chef Paulo Morais opens the Umai Restaurant’s door, where the smells in the lead up to an aphrodisiac Asian ambience. Before you feel this wealth of flavors, creativity and colours, you can be delightfully with the special cocktails of Umai Bar.
“Seeing with eyes to see, the smells are in memory, tastes convincing, involving the textures, the music creates unique moments.” This is the promise of the elegant “Mercy Hotel.”
“Mercy Hotel” is the name that none of us loose after meeting Lisbon in such a unique and charismatic way.
